Front of House

At the Dronfield Hall Barn we have a fantastic team of volunteers who give up their time to help us. They fulfil a wide range of Front of House roles including greeting our visitors, supervising exhibitions, leading tours and lending a hand at special events.

Some volunteers come in once a week, but others just help out whenever they can. They play a vital role at the Barn and are fundamental to our success and sustainability.

Skills Required:

  • Are you friendly, enthusiastic and good at speaking to new people?
  • You have a passion for your local community and its heritage?
  • You enjoy being part of a team?

GARDENS AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Join our group of Garden Volunteers who help us develop and maintain our beautiful gardens!

We welcome volunteers who enjoy talking with the public and are willing to do demonstrations – this is not a requirement. There is a role for every need.

All levels of experience welcome as their are lots of knowledgeable and friendly garden volunteers to offer their support and learning.

We meet every Tuesday at the Barn from 9.00 until 12.30.

Skills Required:

  • Enthusiastic
  • Good with following instructions
  • Friendly and enjoys working in a team

Archives

‘Working together to deliver exciting arts, heritage and natural history activities from a historic venue’

Dronfield Heritage Trust aims to maintain the Barn as the focal point for our community and in the future become the wider information point and hub for the district, promoting the protection and conservation of the area.

The Archives team also carry out research for publications and exhibitions at the barn.

Volunteers will preferably be available for Tuesday mornings.

Skills Required:

  • Organised and flexible, with good IT skills, good knowledge of local history would be a bonus.
  • Reasonable level of heavy lifting/fitness – not essential.
