Dronfield Heritage Trust oversees nearly an acre of landscaped gardens, which are maintained by a volunteer team and freely accessible for community use, education, and enjoyment.
Over the past decade, the gardens at Dronfield Hall Barn have been lovingly transformed from a once-neglected wilderness into a vibrant, welcoming haven that the entire community can enjoy free of charge. This remarkable transformation has been achieved through the tireless dedication of a team of volunteer gardeners, whose passion and commitment have breathed new life into the space.
Almost entirely self-funded through plant sales, fundraising events, and community initiatives, their efforts have turned an overgrown area into a thriving landscape filled with colour, texture, heritage plants and herbs, and seasonal interest. Today, the gardens stand as a testament to what can be achieved through teamwork and community spirit.
We are especially proud that our gardens have been recognised for their beauty and diversity, having been open to the public for two consecutive years through the National Garden Scheme — a reflection of the high standard of care, creativity, and love invested in this special place.
Private tours of the gardens can be booked by groups and we offer a rangle of tour and catering options.
